Sue, you are loved and your future is love-filled.

Let’s get you agreeing with it.

Sue, Your Story Isn't Finished

Hi Sue. We’ve known each other for a loooooong time and there are some truths it would be great for you to know about you. You are incredibly loyal and have great stickability. You are so accommodating and it’s a great blessing to people. Your true friends and family absolutely love you (that’s me included). Your heart is steadfast toward God and He’s really proud of you (and He longs to give you the desires of your heart).

There is a vast difference between having experienced aloneness and being destined to be alone. One is part of your history; the other is not a prediction of your future which scripture tells us. God “sets the solitary in families” (Psalm 68:6). He tells us to delight ourselves in Him and speaks of the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). Jesus tells us to ask, believe and receive (Mark 11:24), and Scripture reminds us that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

So this journey is not about trying to force ourselves to believe, “I will definitely find a husband.” It’s about going deeper. It’s about discovering why some part of you learned that alone is what happens to me, gently loosen that old conclusion, and teach your mind and heart that love, companionship, belonging and being deeply chosen are safe possibilities for you. Your past may explain why aloneness feels familiar. It does not get to prophesy your future.

I know you love praise and worship so this sets a great tone for your internal work

Here’s some guiding scriptures which may make you feel more secure that what you are doing is Biblical. We’re applying the scripture - Romans 12v2 Be transformed by the renewing of your mind

Luke 17v21 The Kingdom of Heaven is within

Psalm 51v6 Make me know truth on my inner most parts

Colossians 3:1–3 Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above

Proverbs 4v23 Guard your heart for out of it flow the issues of life

Proverbs 23v7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he

Hebrews 12v2 For the joy set before him Jesus endured the cross

John 19v30 Jesus said “It is finished”

Hebrews 11v1 Faith is the evidence and the substance

2 Corinthians 5v7 We walk by faith and not by sight

Matthew 7v7 Ask and you shall receive

Matthew 9:29 Be it unto you according to your faith

Romans 4v17 Call those things that are not as though they are

Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

Here’s where you can start - from yesterday to tomorrow

The current state of affairs

Write down the answers to these questions:

  • What is the biggest issue you want to see change in your life?

  • How does this issue affect your life now?

  • What are the feelings you feel when you experience this issue?

  • What are the triggers that bring this issue to mind for you?

The new state of affairs

Write down the answers to these questions:

  • What feelings would you feel if you this issue fully resolved now?

  • What would your life be like to have this answer in your life - what would you do in the morning, evening, daytime, weekend, holidays, downtime, family time….

Finding the root causes of the lies we believe

Here’s a guide for now going into your memories to look at where this may have started and what core beliefs were created. This audio will guide you through the process. It’s good to have a pen and paper here so you can take notes on some key things which come to mind. You’ll only do this exercise once.

You’ll be going through 3 memories which are related to the issue at hand. You’ll be in a relaxed and inward-focused state when you do this so no need to engineer a memory, one will naturally come up (sometimes you need to be patient). Go with whatever comes up first and don’t over think it. When you go through a memory, give it great colour and reality as an observer - not being in the middle of it again. Feel free to write the key feelings and beliefs from each memory down so you can get it out of your mind. Here are the things to cover as you look at a memory:

  • Was it day or night

  • Were you inside or out

  • Who was there

  • What was happening

  • What were you thinking and feeling - be as descriptive and specific as you can

  • Before you leave the memory, ask yourself, if there is anything else you should know before you leave this memory.

The new thoughts to create the new beliefs

Beliefs are just repeated thoughts we practice or conclusions we made as we observed our world. When we ‘dig’ out the lies and give them to Jesus we are guarding our hearts because we know that out of it flows the issues of life.

When you are ready, this audio will guide you through the meditation on the new thoughts to embed into your heart as beliefs. Doing this 15 minute audio every day for 21 days will help these God-aligned thoughts become your default thoughts. Feel the feelings deeply and use your imagination to paint the most beautiful picture you can as you are guided in this audio.

I’ve added the download link so you can download it to your phone and listen as you walk or fall asleep which taps into your subconscious mind too.

Know also that if this audio doesn’t quite suit you, you can absolutely create your own on your phone. The more deeply you can feel the feelings of tomorrow the faster this change happens.
